Krillion Hints
Spoiler-free hints and strategy for the Krillion io daily rarity game. Learn how to read prompts, find rare answers, and decide exactly when to reveal today's answers.
How to use these hints
These Krillion hints are designed to keep the daily puzzle fun. They point your thinking toward rare answers without naming them, so you still get the satisfaction of finding the answer yourself.
- Start with the prompt category. Name the category in your head before the timer starts. The clearer the category, the faster you can reach a less-obvious answer.
- Skip your first instinct. The answer that jumps to mind first is usually the same one jumping to everyone else's mind too.
- Go specific, not weird. A narrow, concrete answer is rarer than an odd one. Specific answers feel safe to the game but uncommon to the crowd.
- Reveal only what you need. If you are stuck on one prompt, open only that answer on the daily answer page. Leave the rest untouched.
The Krillion rarity ladder
Every valid answer lands in one of six rarity tiers. Knowing the ladder helps you guess the tier above your first instinct instead of chasing strange words.
- One in a Krillion β 100 points. The rarest possible answer. Fewer than one in a thousand players find it.
- Deep Cut β 85 points. A genuinely obscure pick. Most players never think of it.
- Rare β 60 points. Uncommon. A minority of players land here.
- Schooler β 30 points. A solid, middling answer. You had company.
- Too Clever β 15 points. You outsmarted yourself β too obscure to count as rare.
- Plankton β 10 points. The most common answer on the board. Everyone floats here sometimes.
Four hint principles for a deeper dive
These four habits turn a first instinct into a rarer answer without needing to memorize yesterday's solutions.
- Category first. If the prompt is about animals, reach for a less-loved corner of the animal kingdom, not a strange animal. The game rewards recognizable specificity.
- Find the crowd answer, then move one step away. The crowd answer is usually the most famous example. The next most famous example in the same category is often Rare or Deep Cut.
- Use time of day as a hint. Early in the day, more casual players submit common answers. Later, the crowd average shifts toward rarer picks. Your target depends on when you play.
- Read the tier, not just the score. If you keep landing Schooler, you are one step from Rare. The tier tells you how close your instinct already is.
